Free In-Cab Alerts for Commercial Motor Vehicles

Stay informed and drive safer with real-time in-cab alerts sent directly to your Electronic Logging Device (ELD) while traveling through Colorado. This free service, provided through a partnership between the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT), Colorado State Patrol (CPS) and Drivewyze, delivers critical safety messages to help commercial motor vehicle (CMV) drivers navigate safely and efficiently. 

Please note: The State of Colorado does not collect any personal information during the sign-up process. All data is managed securely by our trusted partner, Drivewyze.

What Alerts Will You Receive?

As you travel through Colorado, you'll get automatic alerts:

  • Weather-Related Road Closures - Be notified of highway shutdowns due to severe weather conditions 

  • Emergency Alerts 

  • Eisenhower-Johnson Memorial Tunnel Alerts - Receive important tunnel safety and operational updates before entering 

  • Wolf Creek & Glenwood Canyon - Steep grade ahead gear down slow down

  • Non-Truck Route Warnings - Avoid costly violations by receiving alerts when approaching restricted routes like Independence Pass
